The CFDA recognizes the best emerging fashion design talent in the country and provides a platform where the fashion industry can view the top tier of American design talent. Elena is the only one from her graduating class to be selected for this award.

THE DESIGNER
Elena Bobysheva was born in Moscow, Russia though from age three, she grew up in Germany. Elena was encouraged to indulge in her love for the arts from an early age through dance, art, and music. In 2000, she and her family immigrated to the United States.
She chose to begin her journey by studying Entrepreneurship at Columbia Chicago and subjects of Architecture at Lorenzo de Medici in Florence, a period that turned out to be crucial in opening her up to the possibilities of modern design. Elena graduated from Columbia in 2013 with a double Bachelor's in Fashion Design and Entrepreneurship. Elena launched her label right upon graduating when an upscale specialty boutique in Chicago's Gold Coast bought her senior thesis collection. A couple months later, she was awarded the Council of Fashion Designers of America Approved Certificate, which recognized the most promising American design talent in the country.
Having established her design signature early on, Elena Bobysheva is one of the few high-end designers from Chicago that have gathered recognition on an international stage so early on in her career.
In the three years since launch, the Elena Bobysheva label has evolved an unmistakable women-centered design aesthetic. Sophisticated, feminine, and refined, her ready-to-wear collections and signature silhouettes, are instantly recognizable.
